Your recordings stay yours.
In short: Lautnote processes everything on your PC. No account, no telemetry, no advertising, no cloud transcription. The app only goes online to download models after you agree, and to check the Microsoft Store licence. This website sets no cookies; it counts visits anonymously (see “Visitor statistics”).
The app
Recordings, transcripts, notes, summaries, settings and the search index stay on your PC, in the app's folder (Store version: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Deskscene.Lautnote_7baf292wdw0j6\LocalState). Speech recognition, speaker detection and the language model for summaries and questions run locally; your audio and texts never leave the PC. The app only makes these connections:

Microphone and meeting recordings
The microphone and the sound of the app you choose are only recorded while a recording is running and you have started it. The recording is saved in the app's folder on your PC and is not sent anywhere. Before every meeting recording you confirm that all participants know notes are being taken. You are responsible for being allowed to record; Lautnote is not legal advice.
Logs and error reports
Logs stay on your PC. They are only shared if you send them to us yourself, for example by e-mail to support.
Purchase
Lautnote is sold by Microsoft through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft handles payment and licence under its own privacy statement; we do not receive your payment details. The Store's standard licence terms (EULA) apply.
This website
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you visit it, Vercel processes technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, time, page) to deliver it and to protect against abuse. Fonts and images are served from this server; apart from Vercel's visitor statistics (below) no other services are embedded, and no cookies are set.
Visitor statistics
To see which pages are read, this website uses Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses. For each page view it records: time, page, referring page, approximate location (country, region, city), operating system, browser and device type. Visitors are only told apart by a hash of the request that is discarded after 24 hours; we only see aggregated numbers that cannot be traced back to a person. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). More at Vercel.
Your rights
Since the app sends us no data, we hold none about your use of it. For e-mails you send us you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Austria: the Datenschutzbehörde).
